Electronic Signature

Electronic signature and Regulation (EU) 910/2014

Electronic signatures are one of the main tools in the electronic communication. Similarly as in "paper world", signature in "electronic world" is used by signatories to express their consent of the document.

REGULATION (EU) No 910/2014 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 23 July 2014 on electronic identification and trust services for electronic transactions in the internal market and repealing Directive 1999/93/EC (publicly known as “eIDAS Regulation”) introduces another means for ensuring authenticating and integrity of electronic documents - electronic seals. Electronic time stamps are now introduced at EU level. Regulation eIDAS is published in the Official Journal of EU: http://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/?uri=uriserv:OJ.L_.2014.257.01.0073.01.ENG.

Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic is designated supervisory body pursuant to article 17(2) of Regulation (EU) 910/2014. Ministry is also the body responsible for establishing, maintaining and publishing the national Trusted Lists pursuant to article 22(3) of Regulation (EU) 910/2014.
