As of April 27th, 2021, India was added on the list of countries with an extreme risk of transmission of COVID-19 disease

Travelling to the countries with an extreme risk of transmission is forbidden (with some exceptions). The current Government has approved a change of Ministry of Health protective measure regarding the conditions of entry to the Czech Republic.

Also, with effect from April 27th, 2021, the entry of persons travelling from countries with an extreme risk of transmission of COVID-19 disease into the territory of the Czech Republic is prohibited. At the moment, the countries with an extreme risk of transmission of COVID-19 disease are Botswana, Brazil, Eswatini (Swaziland), India, Republic of South Africa, Kenya, Columbia, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Peru, Tanzania (including Zanzibar and Pemba islands), Zambia and Zimbabwe. An exception applies to citizens of the Czech Republic, citizens of EU with a certificate of temporary residence, family members, persons with a permanent residence permit in the Czech Republic and other categories of persons that are stipulated in the Protective measure. These persons have to make a reservation for testing in the Czech Republic before the travel and immediately after arrival undergo a RT-PCR test for the presence of SARS-CoV-2 (no later than 24 hours after arrival) and stay in self-isolation. Self-isolation is completed by a negative test result of an RT-PCR test for the presence of SARS-CoV-2 that must be performed no sooner than ten days after arrival.
