Priorities of the Czech Presidency of the European Union
The Czech republic started presiding the EU council in January and has set its priorities for the Presidency. Some of those pririoties come under Ministry of the Interior
The Czech Republic is presiding over the meetings of EU-27 between January and June 2009. The Czech Presidency has been preparing for aproximetly two years and took the Presidency from France.
For the Czech republic, one of the most important tasks during the presidency is to prepare main priorities. Ten of these priorities come under Ministry of the Interior. The three most important priorities are:
- Reasonable counter-drugs policy
- Use of modern technology for safety and safe using of modern technology
- International protection of children
All the priorities are connected by the motto of the Czech presidency „Europe without barriers“.
